Mark Bullock
I have been working as a Painter & Decorator since I left school at the age of 16. I was offered and passed a three year apprenticeship recognised by the T.U.C with the local Authority, at the same time I also enrolled at Chelmsford College for Higher Education, where I passed a four year City & Guilds in both Basic Painting & Decorating and Advanced Craft Painting & Decorating.
In 1986, I left my job with the local Authority to set up M.B. Decorating, so I could use my skills more effectively and see more varied work. In 1991, I was offered a part time teaching post at Chelmsford College for Higher Education, teaching practical Painting & Decorating to 1st and 2nd year students. Later on I was offered a full time post, but I decided to decline the offer because I did not want to become a full time teacher.
I am happiest working on people’s homes, and the variety of jobs that comes with it, as you can see from my the images on my services page and also on my blog.
This is my thirty seventh year as a Painter & Decorator, in that time I have seen a HUGE lowering in standards within the trade, which hasn’t seemed to have affected other trades to the same degree. I have and always will undertake to do high quality work using my knowledge and training to give you a very high quality and professional job, treating your property like it was my own home.
This is the foundation stone of M.B. Decorating – it always has been and it always will be!
Thanks, Mark.
